It was a great experience all around. The drive was a bit longer than we usually travel for food but it was well worth the trip. We roamed the store for about 5 min while we were waiting for our table. They had all the holiday stuff out for Halloween, thanksgiving, and Christmas. It was beautiful! The food was great. The service was fantastic. Our server Antonio was very attentive and friendly. He definitely earned a good tip. We started off with biscuits while we waited for our food. My daughter was playing the game with the wooden triangle with pins. Then the food came in a timely fashion. My hubby ordered the country boy breakfast. It came with a sirloin steak, eggs, double hash, grits, and biscuits. We ordered it custom because you have options to chose from. I had the mommas pancake breakfast and my daughter had the kids pancake breakfast. It was delicious! I could barely move when I was done. We even had food left over. Their raspberry lemonade it delicious. Their lemonade is homemade and has lots of pulp. I loved it! Needless to say it was well worth the trip and I would do it again anytime! Wonderful family breakfast!

My family and I drove all the way here from Kendall just to have breakfast; to my delight there was barely a wait, but beware! This place gets out of controlled packed on the weekends! Our waitress was great she was very attentive and brought any extra things(whipped cream for my pancakes) we needed without hesitation. Everyone on the floor was great with a smile on their faces at all times. The decor was fantastic. The food, well i wouldn't drive about half an hour again to have it. The problem is, it tastes like any other breakfast chain restaurant ( ihop, dennys). Same style, eggs, bacon. The problem is I don't eat grits or gravy or buscuit so I am a chain breakfast food person anyway. I love their little shop where you walk in or where you pay, it is so cute! You just want to but everything! Overall, its a warm place with great tasting food nonetheless.

Good food, cute shop, friendly staff. Love it! I come here often with my little family since it's so close by to our hotel. Our food was delicious and it came with a choice of biscuits or corn bread. It was during dinner. We ate there during lunch time and they didn't serve us that so I guess it's a dinner thing? The shop is wonderful. The staff is quite friendly and the house decorations that were on sale were adorable. The candy section was awesome. Mostly vintage candies which was nice. This is definitely one of my favorite places to go!

Place is awesome for southern food and great for kids. Service wasn't that nice and upbeat, especially being a family oriented restaurant. Overall cool place to visit as a pitstop for roadtrips.

What can be said about this place other than amazing! I absolutely love the old fashion American homemade feel. The food is always delicious and I have been to so many different locations across the U.S. And the food never disappoints. The food selection is ample and the portions are generous. The staff is always attentive and polite and won't hesitate in assisting you with anything.

I only come Cracker Barrel once a year, and it's usually around the holidays when I'm visiting a friend who lives down south. Anyway, the wait time was roughly 15 minutes for a Sunday afternoon. After we were seated, our server, Kenny, attended to our needs within minutes. From beginning to end, he was very attentive and extremely friendly. So if my review was based on his performance, it'd have more stars! However, the food this time around just didn't satisfy my craving for Cracker Barrel. I ordered the Sunday Special of the fried chicken. The portions are more than generous, however, the food is bland. The Mac n Cheese looked like it came from a microwaveable box, and the corn beard tasted stale. My favorite part was the Apple Butter, and that's it. Perhaps I'm spoiled by really good southern food now, but I can't see myself coming back to eat what I ordered. Overall... Great service, bland food.

Please just pass this one by. The chicken and biscuits were a disaster. And I was starving so anything should have tasted great to me. Also, it took forever for our waitress to even show up.

Who doesn't love this old country homey restaurant? They definitely succeed in pleasing people! We went this past Sunday to celebrate Mother's Day, party of 17. Anticipated wait: 1hr and 45 minutes. Actually waiting time, a little shy over an hour! Considering the lines and number of guests, the service was to perfection. Everyone's dishes came out correctly and the bill situation (which can get sticky like their phenomenal maple syrup) was handled like nothing. I devoured the Grandpa's Country Fried breakfast, with chicken. If you're visiting with an appetite, this is the meal to eat: two eggs (cooked your style) grits with gravy, best homemade buttermilk biscuits. I recommend the hash brown casserole over the fried apples, though they are an excellent selection. (I just have more of a savory pallet.) Of course I tried my family's dishes, consisting of pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage and the strawberry milk shake. All of those items get two thumbs up! Don't forget to check out their store. There are great little gems you could find in there.

Food is always good here. The store is always fun to browse or shop while you wait. The waiters are usually really good but evey once in a while you'll get one with no personality. That however has no bearing on how good the food is and the decent prices

Cracker Barrel is always a solid place to stop in for breakfast on a roadtrip. You get a lot of food fairly cheap. We stopped in for breakfast on our way down to the Keys. Since it was early on a Tuesday we literally were in and out in less than 30 minutes. The coffee they have is amazing!i just got a side of grits, biscuits, and their hash brown casserole I just love. For two breakfast with coffee the total was $20 with tip fairly cheap. This isn't the best quality food, so I don't think it deserves more than 3 stars. It is a place you stop when you are on a road trip, and if you want to load up on candy for the ride!

Love me some Cracker Barrel. Living in California, the Cracker Barrel is a real treat of southern food. Everything is good and it all reminds me of grandma's cooking. Miss you Nana. More gravy please.

We waited for 1 1/2 hr to get a table. Once we were seated we waited 15 min to get someone to take our drink order. It took another ten min to get sugar for our coffee. The biscuits were brought to our table 10 min later with no serving plates. We saw a manager asked him to bring us small plates he looked annoyed that we asked him for plates. He brought the plates and literally just threw them on the table and walked away. We pull the first plate off the stack that he brought just to find that the rest of the plates were filthy dirty. The only clean plate was the one on the top the rest were disgusting full of food stuck to them. The plates were brought to our table by a manager. Very poor service and managerial service just plain careless and non caring.

This place was SWAMPED but the kept the crowd moving and the food and service did not suffer for it. Our server, Matt, was super awesome and send me on my way with a free iced tea.

had a bummer of an experience... we came in for a late breakfast. the strawberry french toast promo caught our eye and thats what we ordered. when the food came up the centers of the french toast were cold and my bacon was very undercooked. the french toast was two slices of bread in a sandwich cut in half. end result, the stuff in the middle was soggy bread. nasty.. in speaking with the manager it was made properly. well then, it's a bad idea. who wants to eat a soggy sandwich disguised as french toast? maybe the bread should have been toasted prior? dont know.. i'm not a cook but this dish was poor. the best part of my meal was the bacon (once cooked properly) and the side of hashbrowns.

Can you ever go wrong with Cracker Barrel? No !! This is your typical old southern hospitality food which comes with the service of the employees. Atmosphere: when you first arrive to Cracker Barrel you have around 30 rocking chairs, it almost looks like your grandmothers front porch. As you walk into the restaurant you almost think you are in the wrong place, but don't be alarmed, if you continue walking in you'll find the hostess. The wait is usually 30 minutes to 2 hours just because the food is that great. But you can entertain yourself walking around and seeing all the wonderful selection with a very unique variety of different nicknacks they sell, from Candies to christmas tress they have it all! I kid you not. Food: very American country, you have your fried chicken, gravy, mash potatoes, scrambled eggs, steak, grits, plain yogurt, corn, you get the picture. The biscet are amazing, if you like the ones from Kentucky fried chicken (KFC) these are 4 times better. My absolute favorite thing in this place are the pancakes, they are like nothing you've ever taste, they have their own unique taste and the syrup is delicious, whatever I have left of the bottle I take home with me ! Best part is they sell the syrup at the store in the front. The price is very fair for the amount and quality of the food. Everything is very tasty!! Service: FRIENDLY!!! Will I go back? YES!!!!!

Even though we were in the midwest, I had never been to a Cracker Barrel. So, we noticed this on the "Keys leg" of our Miami trip and had to check it out. We stopped for Dinner on the way back. The old country store concept is similar to Bubba Gump, Hardrock Cafe, etc. and unlike any other restaurants in the midwest that we had been to. Our waitress was kind to let us substitute a lot from the standard menu. We ended up mix and matching a bunch of items. Things we liked: 1) Food was surpisingly delicious. I dont think it was because of our tempered down expectations. We were full from all the food we had been eating the previous couple of days. So, the items were genuinely good. 2) Very inexpensive. $27 with tip for a whole lotta of food. 3) Very courteous and friendly wait staff and restaurant employees. 4) Adequate parking & seating. Convenient location. 5) Portions were decent, but including the sides there was a lot of food. We will definitely check this chain out again if we are visiting family in the midwest.

We have previously been there and we had a pleasant experience based on that we decided to go have lunch today. We got seated and ordered drinks which came right away. We placed the order for food and 40 min later we just got up and left. We didn't have a server designated to our table so everyone was trying to help out which we didn't mind. But waiting for food for 40 min isn't right.

Cracker Barrel how I love you so! I love the feel of this place and the food. I also absolutely love their sweet tea. It ins sweet perfection in a glass. 7 years ago my husband got food poisoning at this location when he had a shrimp plate. We were hesitant to return and we stopped coming here in fear of getting sick again. Seeing as how this is the closest one we could get to, we decided to face our fears and return. On our recent visit we both ordered Saturday Chicken and rice. This plate is fantastic and my main reason for visiting Cracker Barrel. It comes with your choice of two vegetable sides. The mushroom cream is fantastic and the chicken was nice and soft. Our waitress Debbie was delightful. Even though it was a busy day she still tried her best to meet our dining needs. You definitely get a lot of food for your money so I recommend it for large parties and big families. A meal for 4 of us totaled to $35 before tip...in my opinion that's fantastic! After dining you can enjoy relaxing in a rocking chair on their porch, or browsing the shop for candies and other merchandise. A nice little stop and there is something for everyone.

So the wait was around 30 minutes but it's a Sunday so it's understandable. Once we were seated the waitress was super helpful and attended our every need. The food was amazing as always!

Ordered from the To-Go menu this time because we wanted to eat at home. Got the same meals as in my previous review. I called at 7:35pm on a Saturday and placed the order, the woman on the phone said it will be ready in 15 minutes so we waited 15 minutes and started driving there, it takes less than 5 minutes to get there. We went to the Pick Up line to pay and we didn't actually get our food until 8:30pm. We were literally standing there by the hostess area for that long. A lady came up to us and told us they were making fresh biscuits and that's why it was taking so long. Within that time frame 2 other people came up to us and asked if we were still waiting. We finally got our food and came home. Food wasn't COLD but it wasn't hot. Despite everything the food was delicious like always. Ironically, the biscuits were cold! The "fresh" biscuits we were waiting on were cold. Okayyy. Anyways I chalk this up to it being Saturday but it still should not have taken THAT LONG for 2 meals.

Went for a late breakfasst on a Tuesday and there was a line ! Anyway waited maybe 10 minutes and we were seated. Restaurant is clean and good service. I ordered the Good Morning Breakfast which at 400 calories was perfect if you're watching what you eat and really quite good. The turkey sausage is yummy and the egg beaters tasted great and the grits were on point. My son ordered the Momma's Pancake breakfast and the pancakes as usual are amazing and he ate it all which says it all since he is very picky. Hubby ordered Grandpa's Country Fried Breakfast and said the chicken fried steak was delicious and a huge portion. He's not a fan of grits but his eggs were cooked how he likes and his plate was huge. I most say they have the best coffee and the waitress kept my cup full which as a coffee drinker I appreciate. Love this place for good homey food that the family can enjoy.

Heavy with the sides, lighter on the main elements of the plate. Don't bother with the fruit. Priced accordingly and novelty themed, so worth a pit stop during your travels along the south coast.

Yes I know it's a chain restaurant but I love me some Cracker Barrell. I've had better food but I'm in love with their Blueberry Pancakes with Regular syrup. I'd rather not use the blueberry syrup that comes with it. I've tried blueberry pancakes everywhere and Cracker Barrell is the best by far. On this particular day, my waitress was awesome and there was no wait. She kept on checking on us and did her job well. I was very satisfied when I left. My hubby had some multigrain pancakes and he said it was good, tasted just like regular one. I've had multograin before and was not a fan. I didn't try his because I was so satisfied with my own food. Def a good stop before heading to the Keys.

Service wasn't that good the most recent time I was here. I've been plenty of times for breakfast and it is awesome. Love the hash brown casserole. Went for lunch recently and had the chicken tenderloin with brown rice & pinto beans. Everything was really good - the rice was just a tad bit hard. But other than that it was good.

You can always count on this spot for so many good reasons. It's consistent and the well done. We live not too far and going there always makes me feel like we're on vacation or a road trip. I used to love meat loaf and there's is great. Nowadays I tend to go for the salads and they're great too! Love the store and the corn beard.

Surprisingly Horrible Service I like cracker barrel food, we stopped by in this location after shopping at Walmart for lunch and what a disappointment. The waitress was not even that busy, but she was not paying attention on what she was doing. It started with drinks one of the coffee mugs had lipstick on it. When we asked for tea refill the new glass had a piece of splenda wrapper. We had to for things more than one time she kept forgetting. The food order came all messed up. Manager frim this location need to train his staff a little better. I will going to cracker barrel but probably not in this location.

Excelent food, good service. For the coffee lovers, let me tell, NOT a good place for coffee.

  • Lisa G.

Ate here on 6-3-14, service was horrible. Only 5 tables with guests and took ten minutes to even get a waitress to take our drink order. Then another ten minutes to get drink. When our food finally came it was cold and ordered it when we ordered our drinks. Never got half of our order and no refills or offers for refills even on water. Will not go back or recommend.

Spring break... Long line on a Wednesday late morning. Service was slow , forgetful , but apologetic. This food is not the best if your going to head out to the beaches. I should have dropped in at the starbucks next door. The amount of mayonnaise and butter used in there food should be illegal.

This place is amazing, between their country store and their hash-brown casserole is too die for. People here are very nice and I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant it's very cozy..

this is my cracker barrel. the customer service here in the store is always a plus. this morning we got the worst waitress. she was as slow as molasses .the wait time was only twenty minutes we waited more for the food. coffee refills took so long I almost walked to star bucks ordered a coffee .i always the grandma country breakfast.it has all the stuff that I like .they need to revamped the menu and offer more stuff like home fries yum .food was great the waitress was not .she needs to work a slower shift more to her pace.

  • Andres R.

Prices a very good, the restaurant is nice and clean, service is fast and friendly. The side dishes are very good, but the one thing that doesn't let me rate it five stars are the main dishes, don't get me wrong, they're not bad, but there is something that doesn't convince me, it's just that it's not great. I ordered chicken n' dumplings, I had never ordered them, and this was the only and last time. I didn't like them, they were not bad, but they weren't great.

my experience at Cracker Barrel was awesome had delicious breakfast and afterwards took a walk around there souvenir store to walk off the food, I was stuffed! Just awesome! looking forward to going back again!

Welp - not eating at one of these again. How can you screw up Chicken Caesar Salad? The meal (two salads) took almost 20 min to get to the table and the waiter had to go check on them. The Caesar salad was warm, the chicken was cold, and the lettuce was soaked in dressing. UG. The only saving grace was the deviled eggs, which were tasty.

Southern food done right. Everything they make her is delicious. I had the country fried steak and eggs with hash brown casserole and biscuits with apple butter now thats what I call preworkout fuel lol. This place gets a well deserved 5 star rating, oh yeah and best of all, this place does not make a dent in your wallet.

I used to eat at this Cracker Barrel all the time, it's gone downhill. The service is terrible and the food isn't that great. I'm really sad about this because I did love going here:( it kind of turned into a truck stop and I'm not sure what happened:( the gift store is amazing though.

The service sucks here, I waited 15 minutes for someone to serve me. I only got served after complaining to management. Mgmt served me and offered to cover my drinks. Smh never going to this location again. The food was some what lousy as well.

  • Mansi S.

This was our first time at cracker barrel! The service was not all that great, took a long time for the waitress to come get our order. It is southern cooking, with really good ham. Everything else was ok in taste with not much flavor!

Let me just say Cracker Barrel has amazing breakfast food for the price you are paying! We usually go here really early on Sunday mornings. It's a nice 30 minute drive on the turnpike, but it's is very worth it! The biscuits with gravy and apple butter is a must, and the pecan pancakes are the perfect combination of sweet and salty! Today we decided to change up the pace and order the food to go, we drove for 30 minutes and picked up our breakfast. We checked our food before leaving and everything was perfectly packed including all of our condiments! What more could just ask for, great tasting food at a great price!

This place has the most delicious pancakes in town (to me). I highly recommend you try them whenever you are in the area. Sadly, there's no Cracker Barrel in Miami so whenever I'm craving these I have to travel south.

Just went here for breakfast with my husband and daughter, it wasn't the worst, but it defiantly was not good either. First of all, the hostess stand was just extremely unorganized. The girl at the hostess stand called about five parties up at once and then you had to wait for someone to come take you to the table. So, about five parties were waiting at the hostess stand to be seated while others were waiting up there to get their name on the list. So, it was very cluttered, to say the least. We sat down and had to ask for a booster seat for our daughter, normally places ask before you have a chance. We ordered our drinks and our food, we order a kids meal for our daughter, eggs and bacon. It took a little while for our food to come out. Being breakfast you would think it wouldn't take too long. Our daughter started to get pretty antsy, and I realized they didn't give us any crayons or a little paper for her to draw on. Which, normally cracker barrels do this. So, since there was no sign of our waitress, I went back to the cluster f*** at the hostess Stand to ask for some crayons. The hostess gave me one pack of crayons and that was it, nothing to write on. I noticed the little kid's papers right under the menus. So, I asked if she could have one of those so she wouldn't just color on their table. It was annoying that I had to go up there and ask for that in the first place but then she was acting like I was inconveniencing her by asking for the activity paper. Anyway, so our food finally comes, and the food runner asked if everything looked good after placing the food on the table. I immediately noticed that we did not have our daughter's meal. So, I said yeah, but we ordered eggs and bacon for our daughter too. So about ten minutes later our waitress brought out her food.... Because it takes ten minutes to scramble one egg and make a couple of slices of bacon. We will not be going back to this location and will be on the look out for a local breakfast joint to try out sometime. I'd skip this Cracker Barrel all together and go anywhere else. The food is Not worth the hassle.

Went here a couple of weeks ago with my sister in law, niece & nephew waited about 15 minutes to be seated not bad for Cracker Barrel, however from there everything went downhill! Once we sat down the server took our drink orders we didn't see her for 10 minutes then when she returned we asked her for bread for the kids to hold them until the food came out well let's put it this way she disappeared we asked another sever to find her and the manager showed up and apologized they could not find her and what could he help us with. We explained we asked for bread for the kids, we had been waiting for our food for way to long, our drinks we're all empty he went to find out what was going on next thing you know surprise our server shows up within our food!!!! This was a total failed breakfast, had to ask for all of our sides that she forgot to put in correctly, had to ask for silverware and refills on our drinks! Needless to say never saw the manager again! Ate our food ASAP and got the heck out of there!!!! No more Cracker Barrel for me!!!!

Pretty upset with this place. This may be my 3rd time here and each time it's bad. Way too long of a wait outside. Long wait inside. And then the food really isn't great or any better than let's say Denny's. This time, 2/3/12, we got a table for 5 after a 45 minute wait. We got our drinks fast but then we waited 1 hour exactly to get our food yet our food wasn't what we ordered. I had the double meat breakfast and asked for turkey sausage instead of regular sausage. I got into turkey sausages and no bacon. She thought I MEANT only sausage but didn't ask. Then I got my bacon 10 minutes later when I was done eating already. My wife didn't get her fried apples or grits on time. My brother in law NEVER got his bacon. Eventually the manager came out and said he would take off the drinks from our receipt. After all that we had to stand in line 10 minutes to pay. This place sucks.

We stopped here on the way to the keys. Food was terrible. I'm normally a huge Cracker Barrel fan, but our food was so dry! My eggs looked and tasted like card board and the biscuits tasted like they were a few days old. The hostess had no personality and our waitress was very soft spoken and a little hard to understand. I would not return to this location.

We decided to visit ole faithful for traditional homemade country food. The fried chicken was the best with fresh biscuits. We were immediately seated; however, the waitress was not so friendly. She was straight to the point. The dinner portions are decent. There is a gift shop located inside which offers hard to find candy. Simple food...

Being from California, I had never been to Cracker Barrel before. Upon the suggestion of my girlfriend and a cousin of mine, though, we decided to go. I was not disappointed. The food I ordered was delicious, and the burgers are huge! The waiter, Branden I think his name was, was very friendly, enough so that my girlfriend decided to give him a bigger tip than she would have. There was also an entertaining game on each table to keep us busy while we waited for the food. Since this store is right next to a gift shop as well, it was conveniently made so we could buy souvenirs for people right there and then.

I was very dissapointed to come to this crackel barrel. The food took a long time to come. Once it came it wad cold and the chicken i ordered was burnt. We asked for a manager and he took at least 10 minutes to come. He said he would bring me a fresh plate and all he did was change the chicken and re heat the rest. Very dissatisfied since i travel and always go to many other crackel barrels. This is the worst one yet, as service and food.

Winner of my 150th review goes to my all time favorite Southern cookin' joint...Cracker Barrel! Hey y'all, want some biscuits and gravy? Come here! Your taste buds will have a party once them biscuits are in your mouth! A+, top notch. Want some of the most amazing pancakes you'll literally ever eat? Visit CB! You will not regret it. The eggs, hash brown, and bacon are always delicious; however, it's extremely hard for any breakfast joint to go wrong with these very popular items. Cracker Barrel always gets these right, no matter what. The orange and cream Stewart's soda is my favorite drink and near second is the apple cider. I also love the nostalgic feeling I get when I first walk in to the store. I feel like I am visiting Orlando as a child and it takes me back to the happy Disney World times I had with my family. We always ate at CB during our trips to good ol' money guzzling Disney so I appreciate Cracker Barrel in all it's form. You want an amazing breakfast? Go to CB. You will not regret it.

Being Cuban, the predominant choice of cooking every time in my household is (you guessed it, Cuban food). With that in mind, my ventures to Cracker Barrel are loved due to the fact I get to savor tasty southern food that I normally otherwise wouldn't :) Every Cracker Barrel is shaped and designed the same, this one in particular is well kept and the staff is friendly and quick. The food here is great, whether you want a streak, country fried chicken or pot roast. My favorite side dish would be the hash-brown casserole, made just right. I would seriously continue to name drop but like I stated earlier, you won't go wrong with the majority of the items on the menu. The typical price for a meal will run you about $25 for two so its a great place to make it a regular drop in.

This chain is one of my favorites, because it's so consistent and delicious! You can't find cheaper better food, and the biscuits and corn bread are to die for. We always pick up some vintage style candy while we're here too! Browsing the shop is a super fun way to kill time waiting for a table too!

It's a Cracker Barrel. It's got standard Cracker Barrel fare. We've always had good, friendly service here. I'm a fan, so by default they'll get a good rating. If you've been to a Cracker Barrel, you know what to expect. Southern-Homestyle food at reasonable prices in a crowded restaurant. Good choice for a road trip stop or a weekend breakfast. But this one? It's got booths. Hurrah for Privacy and Comfort.

I mean who doesn't love them some Cracker Barrel some times? We'll I sure do and my husband is always down for some chicken 'n dumplins. This location is usually fairly empty which results in slower wait staff. But they are however very attentive which is a bonus. Food was just as expected. Extra bonus is since they are usually not as clammed as other locations, they actually had the boy toy's favorite, Cherry Cobler!!!

The Cracker Barrel in Homestead was GREAT! If you are headed down to the Keys, it's a convenient stop for all! The hash brown casserole is to die for!!

Traditional American food, served by nice people, for a reasonable price. Never been disappointed, but also never been blown away by it. Swing by and try it for yourself.

This Cracker Barrel is awesome. When there is a wait, it is not long. Most the time we go, we are immediately seated. Last time we went, we had 9 people. The food took a bit longer, but the place still deserves a 5 star because the waitress informed us of the delay, and kept updating us on the food. The roast beef is the best, with hash-brown casserole, mash potatoes and fried okra.

There's no Cracker Barrel in CA, so when I have the opportunity to cracker barrel it up I get excited. I was really impressed with service; outside of Miami everyone is extremely warm and nice like deep south style. A breakfast sampler with like 7 different items is $8.99 and takes up 3 plates. All the food was prepared well and tasty. Two entrees and two drinks $21, great value. The coca cola chocolate cake is also to die for.

Sad to say this was my first visit ever, but definitely not my last. This place is so good but not somewhere you frequent unless heart disease & obesity are your goals in life. We went on a Saturday and didn't have a wait which I hear is a miracle. We both ordered the Old Timer's. Loved the cinnamon apples, the hashbrown casserole, and the biscuits.... oh the biscuits. With apple butter. Heaven. My turkey sausage was really dry and overcooked but I can forgive and forget due to biscuit intoxication 48 hrs later. Service was also on point which was nice. The place has a cool little store attached where you can kill your wait time looking through tons of cool gifts and knick-knacks. Awesome spot to stop at on the way to the Keys or just to get away from the madness that is Miami.

Cracker Barrel is one of my favorite chain restaurants. Before they built the Fl. City location, I would drive to Naples for their food! Yes...Naples! It's the perfect place for breakfast, lunch or dinner! For breakfast, anything on the menu is good, except for that Sawmill gravy! It's the nastiest thing I have ever tasted. I can't figure out why they havent added a Sausage gravy to their menu! My dinner favorites are the Roast Beef (it's Pot Roast), Chicken Fried Chicken (minus that gravy), and the Fried Catfish. The Pot Roast is always tender and moist, and the gravy they put on top of it is devine! I always have them put that on the potatoes too! As for the sides, the mac n cheese is awesome! The mashed potatoes n gravy is awesome! The hashbrown casserole is pretty good! The carrots are sweet and a wee bit overdone (I like em that way)! And the green beans are also a little overdone and have a meaty flavor! The food is consistently good! There is one more item to avoid on the menu tho...the beef stew...its absolutely flavorless! If the weather is nice, kick back in one of their rocking chairs! So relaxing!

Cracker Barrel has always been a mainstay for my family and me. When ever we want to treat ourselves for breakfast, or special occasions, this is the spot. We alternate between this location and Pembroke Pines. However, this most recent trip to the Barrel was the most disgusting and disappointing experience i have ever encountered. The Men's rest room was disgusting with dirty paper towels strewn about, piss all over the floors and one stall that was so stopped up with poop and paper that it was close to overflowing. Well, considering i was there with my 7 yr old who needed to poop, i marched out of that bathroom and advised the hostess. A few minutes later, our table was ready, and we sat down. It took the waitress about ten minutes to acknowledge us and get our drink orders. then, about another ten minutes for her to return for our food orders. When the orders came, every plate came incorrect or incomplete. A service disaster on all fronts. Needless to say, my 7 year old (Hope you didn't forget about him) could no longer hold it and he asked me to take him to the rest room. Guess what was waiting for us - the same disgusting restroom - only now, with about 45 minutes more filth and piss on the floors - YAY!!! Luckily the 2nd stall was unoccupied and after cleaning the floor and toilet seat thoroughly my son was able to go. This time i called for the manager to advise. You know what, this was a complete embarrassment for this establishment - and if they felt anything other than disgust and embarrassment for their service and their cleanliness - they should be fired. Bottom-line. My wife told me after the meal - this may be the last time we come here.. and she might not be exaggerating. it was that bad. The only reason this is not a one star review is because we have been visiting Cracker Barrel for years and, the food is always great.. but the service and cleanliness issues are something we have noticed getting worse and worse over the last 18 months or so.. a shame.

Good food in an old fashioned setting. They are willing to accommodate food allergies and will point out safe options. Service is efficient and the servers are pleasant. Add to this, there is a country store with clothes, stuffies, toys, music and household items. Take home some spiced apple butter for a treat because you deserve this awesome treat.

Not bad, the prices are really good for the amount and quality of food you get. No wait time for a Sunday morning at 11am! Service is excellent, no complaints! Food sits heavy though, didn't eat for the rest of the day until about 7pm.

Off of US1 On the way to the keys you wont miss the Big Cracker Barrel to your right. (In Florida City) Very Country place obviously. They have a country store filled with useless but cute knick nacks. Didnt care for their breakfast last visit i had here but willling to give it a try again.. Came here for dinner to try out their Meatloaf w/3sides special. DELISH. Big portions. It was lighter in color than i expected. Im used to seeing Meatloaf Darker in color but it was good&cooked with onions and green peppers.Oh &Corn muffins & Biscuits! YUMMO Good service but it was pretty empty tonight. Our Total was $20.25 (2 dinner's) cant beat that.

I've been to this Cracker Barrel location a few times, and with the exception of one bad visit, it's been pretty good. My husband and I come mainly for the biscuits and grilled chicken tenderloins, but we've heard that the rest of the food is good, and I've heard great things about their breakfast that they serve all day long. The service is usually friendly, and they've got a fun little shop attached to the restaurant.

In all realness, I have not had one bad meal at the Cracker Barrel. We've only gone for breakfast but the service is always on point and the food is outstanding! This is a must if you want a solid breakfast experience.

I have been to many cracker barrels in and out of Florida. I have never been disappointed.,..er, that is until now. I'm not a good cook, probably an awful cook, but I can fry an egg. The cook at this cracker barrel failed that simple task. The sausage was only suited to be used as a hockey puck. Grits gummy and bland. The server should have been a cast member in lost. Oy. So sad. It was my baby's birthday breakfast and I wanted it to be special. But it was not to be. Oh, and I got a trinket in the gift shop because it was on sale (or so the sign said), but the register lady told me the sale was last week. I told her to take down the damn sign with the sale price. She practically rolled her eyes and mumbled something. I didn't care what; I was outta there. Will I be back? Hell no.

When your in the mood for a good ole country breakfast, this is the place! I've gone a lot over the years and their food is amazing. Their pancakes are DELICIOUS! They are warm fluffy buttermilk served with the cutest mini maple syrup bottles ever! I love their service, they are always smiling and in a good mood. Inside the place is nice. The decor is very country. You definitely forget your in Miami. This is a top 10 breakfast spot for me!

This has to be one of my favorite places for breakfast when heading down into the Florida Keys. Although their menu offers excelent selection of southern food, I have a hard time not ordering their famous pancakes or French toast with natural maple syrup. Can say that with all my travel it was awesome seeing them in every little across the southern belt of the US.

Loved the place! Just like any other Cracker Barrel of course. We had the burger and the spicy catfish and both were great. Excellent value, we both ate well and the bill was $21. Service was not the fastest but they were very nice and it was a matter of calling their attention when needed. Would come again and recommend.

Great food, beautiful shop, decent service but very nasty bathrooms. Hubby likes the blackened catfish with greens, okra and mashed potatoes..be sure to ask for the pepper sauce for the greens. The mamas pancake breakfast is awesome and available all day, big portion. Tried their fried boneless pork chops tonight, they were yummy and tender. Their apple dumpling is a great deal, huge portion with plenty to share. You would think their tea would be awesome, but it's meh at best. I find it bitter and strong for my taste, I don't think its for poor preparation, just maybe the brand they use. The biggest problem with this place is that they need to put additional effort on keeping the bathrooms cleaner. Half the stalls were out of paper and there was litter on the floor. The water wasn't draining right in the sink, suggesting plumming issues....although the bathrooms are gross everytime we go there! It's a definate downer on the dining experience.

It's amazing if you go outside of Miami, how friendly people are. And Cracker Barrel is no exception. Servicewise, couldn't have asked for anything better. And the same goes for the food. It's so good, you forget it's a chain. Probably my favorite place for breakfast and their lunch and dinners equally as good. This is American southern style cooking at its best. And as if that wasnt enough, their desserts are excellent. One negative though. I wish this chain would adopt urban locations to their business plan. They are missing out on so much business and neglecting so many potential customers. It's a shame they focus on people in car-dominated locations and not enough on urban locations.

This Cracker Barrel is "hit or miss". On the one hand, it's fantastic to finally have a Cracker Barrel "close to home"... i put close to home in quotations because its really not that close. We live on Brickell and this location is in Homestead, so on a good day we can make the drive in anywhere between 45-50 min. But its the closest a Cracker Barrel has ever been to Miami so its a start! When we've eaten here for lunch, the food and service has just been OK. But when we've come here for their breakfast the food and service has been FANTASTIC! Its bizarre. Definitely come for the breakfast, its some of my favorite in So Fla. A cool neighborhood tip is that the everglades are really close by. You can bring the kids to have breakfast at Cracker Barrel and then explore the Anhinga Trail afterwards to hunt for gators and wildlife!

This was my first and last visit to this restaurant. I ordered a sampler platter with country ham, meat loaf and chicken and dumplings. The country ham tasted like the meat had gone bad, even my girlfriend agreed when she tried a piece. She had to spit it out into a napkin. The chicken in the chicken and dumplings was dry and difficult to eat. My meat loaf and my girlfriend's meat loaf were edible but not great. I would gladly pay more elsewhere not to be served bad meat.

It's a chain restaurant, we all know what to expect from that.... a hit and miss situation. Also, this chain has a reputation for serving mediocre, fatty food - and serving breakfast to the masses to the point of not being able to keep up with demand on the weekends... and this location lives up to this assumption meticulously. However, there are some thing surprisingly good things about this restaurant: 1 - Every single server in this place has always given me EXCEPTIONAL service. That's a mouthful, but it is as true as it is surprising. 2 - I have never encountered the awful bathroom scenario other yelpers have found here. 3 - Who doesn't love the country store with all those useless little things we can't resist but buy... oh and the old school candy and during the holidays - the cutest and most unusual ornaments and such?!! Awesome! - All that said, I must admit the worst part about this place is that I have seen and heard (more than once) a manager be rude and a complete a@%&%^ to employees. What a jerk! As a customer, I find that to be a complete turn off. Take it to the back, please. Otherwise I will still be coming in here almost every week on Thursday for the turkey special, and the occasional candy run.

I've been here several times and yet have a bad comment to make. Food is great, staff is friendly and the store is packed full of fun items to search through. Breakfast is available all day. The portions are large and can be shared. They have salads now also. I chose a grilled chicken salad. Very good! Their Grandpa's country fried breakfast is amazing: Eggs, Hashbrown Casserole with Chicken Fried Chicken or Country Fried Steak, biscuits. Its all good...

I know this is a chain restaurant and well we all know what to expect, but I love coming here on Sundays with my family. It's really family friendly, the prices are cheap and food is not bad. The country store is irrestible and I feel like I am not in Miami when I go to this place. On the down side, sometimes it is so packed that the waiters take a little long to get to you, but when they do they are always nice. The pancakes are delicous! I am sure they have a million calories and a ton of butter, by they are sooo good. Reminds me of my childhood and when my mom used to make me pancakes for breakfast ;). And who doesn't want to reminisce good childhood memories? I have bought the pancake mix at the store and they are so easy to make and they taste the same.

This is Cracker Barrel. I'm not really sure what anyone who eats here expects that they don't get when they come here. The service is fine. The food is dirt cheap. The ambiance is Cracker Barrel-esque. The little store is packed. There is plentiful parking. Everything that comes along with the amount of traffic that a Cracker Barrel--particularly this location--gets is something that should be expected. That said, I've never had a bad experience here. Things I enjoy: Cheap, awesomely filling breakfast food at any time of the day. If you enjoy this as much as I do, you'd be a regular here too.

Ok..so I am not sure what the hype is about this place. I went with a big party of 12 Saturday morning @ 10 am. The wait was about 15 minutes which wasn't so bad. The staff was very accomadating so as far as service a give them 4 stars. However, the food is no different than going to Denny's (except the hashbrowns are really good here). As I sat there waiting for my food, the noisy atmosphere reminded me of the cafeteria at my job and that in itself gave me anxiety. It was so loud and busy that it did not make well for a relaxing morning breakfast with family. I ordered the Old Timers Breakfast which was ok..nothing special. My husband ordered the french toast and they had a very eggy saturated tasted..not my favorite. Overall, it was bearable.

This is a great little Sunday morning drive and breakfast. The hostess usually anticipates the wait longer than it really is. Only waited 20 min for a party of 7. I had the healthy sampler , then killed it w 2 biscuits. The food was good, and the service was even better, YUM!

Sunday morning breakfast was calling me to Cracker Barrel today. I have been to a few of them throughout the state and one in Georgia where they had sweet potatoe pancakes that were awesome. I asked for them here and my waiter looked at me all puzzled. Unfortunately they did not. But moms and i had a nice breakfast there. The server was on point and he gets 5 stars!!! The wait was non existant and the food was good. The place was packed and everything still went off without a hitch. Now if your coming with a big party like 4 or 5 people i would expect a wait cuz the place was super packed.

This Cracker Barrel is a hit or miss. Either the food is delicious and the service is excellent, or the exact opposite. I don't get it. I ordered a simple oatmeal here with banana topping. When is came it was just nasty plain fruitless oatmeal. Did you have to screw up my oatmeal order? Yet other times I order "mommas special" and its the most delicious breakfast ever. Cracker Barrel is a great place but I think they try to do too much. If they simplify things maybe they won't screw up a simple order.

was here on jan 1st. it was pretty empty. the waitress asked us what we wanted to drink before i could even sit down. it seemed she was in quite a hurry. bathroom was awful. we ordered fried chicken with green beans. the chicken was not that bad, the beans came from a can and were disgusting, could not eat them at all. me and bf shared the meal so we asked for another plate. she brought us an entirely wet one after quite a while! we also ordered a salad, it sounded nice, but the actual salad was disgusting too. they chopped up an unripe tomato and you could see where they (not very efficiently) cut out the rotting parts of it. that was gross. the pieces of ham or bacon or whatever it was sprinkled on top of it were not tasty either. it was on our holiday and our last dinner before returning home. it was the worst dinner we had and the waitress was totally oblivious... at the register we had to wait because the girl was on the phone. she totally ignored us. when she was finally done, she asked us "are you ready?". well yes, WE are, but are you? she didnt understand the sarcasm. i had heard some good things about cracker barrel and was happy to finally try it. what a disappointment! will never return again..

I really enjoy going out to breakfast on Sunday mornings and the Cracker Barrel is pretty close to the house. We have been here four or five times and it is fairly good most of the time. The food is as good as any other Cracker Barrel and the service is usually pretty good. The reason I am only giving them two stars today is that this morning the service was sub-par. We were seated and forgotten, they messed up my wife's order twice and I had to almost beg for coffee. They kind knew they weren't doing very well and were full of apologies, so I will probably give them a few more chances.

Been here twice for lunch. The first time I had pancakes and they were very good. The second time I had chicken 'n dumplings and it was a mess; I couldn't eat it. The biscuits were good. Go for breakfast and forget everything else.
